Dr. Jia focuses on reproductive health epidemiology, with particular emphasis on the environmental etiologies and underlying mechanisms of gestational diabetes mellitus and birth defects. She has led one project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and participated in several national research projects, including the National Key R&D Program of China and NSFC General Program projects. She has contributed to the design, establishment, and management of the Beijing Birth Cohort, with a key role in detecting environmental pollutants in biological samples, and has independently developed two novel methods for environmental pollutant detection. She has published 25 SCI-indexed papers, including nine as first or co-first author in journals such as The Innovation, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Environment International, and Environmental Pollution.
