In 1999, I graduated from Beijing Medical University (now is Peking University Health Science Center) with a bachelor's degree in preventive medicine. In 2004, I obtained a master's degree in the Department of Women and Children and Adolescent Health, School of Public Health, Peking University Health Science Center and received my Ph.D. in the same department in 2010. I studied in Lund University (2013-2014) and Stanford University (2017) as a visiting scholar.

I have been working as the director of Institute of Child and Adolescent Health since 2022, and I am taking the role of director regarding to the Center for Child and Adolescent/School Health of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention at the same time. I am taking the key positions in several academic institutions and journals. In addition to serving the development of my discipline and academic innovation, I am also committed to multidisciplinary development and cooperation, promoting the association between academia and industry, and expanding the influence of child and adolescent health concepts in the whole field, such as the deputy director of School Health Standards Committee of National Health Standards’ Committee, deputy director of Student’s Health Education Branch of Chinese Association for Student Nutrition and Health Promotion, associate editor-in-chief of the academic founding journal titled future, as well as a member of the editorial board of China School Health etc.

Main research directions

The main focuses include the social determinants of child and adolescent health and development, students’ Constitution and Health (based on CNSSCH) and its inequality, and the implementation research of common diseases interventions among children and adolescents。
