The signing ceremony for the "Peking University Medicine - Thyseed Maternal and Infant Product R&D Joint Laboratory" was held on the afternoon of May 16, 2024, in the auditorium of Peking University Medical Science and Technology Building. The event was attended by Xiao Yuan, Deputy Director of Peking University Health Science Center; Wang Hao, Founder and CEO of Thyseed Brand; Ming Zhe, Director of Marketing at Thyseed Brand; Zhan Siyan, Dean of Peking University School of Public Health; Shen Juan, Deputy Director of Business Affairs Management Office and Director of the Technology Transfer Office at Peking University Health Science Center; Liu Jianmeng, Director of the National Health Commission Key Laboratory of Reproductive Health; Li Hongtian, Director of Peking University Institute of Reproductive and Child Health and Director of the Joint Laboratory; along with some faculty and student representatives. The event was chaired by Wang Haijun, Vice Dean of Peking University School of Public Health.

Xiao Yuan emphasized that Peking University Health Science Center is deeply implementing the national strategy for scientific and technological innovation, actively promoting university-enterprise cooperation, and striving to expand cooperation models and broaden cooperation paths. Peking University Health Science Center is cooperated with Thyseed Company to establish a joint laboratory for maternal and infant product R&D, committed to integrating the advantages of both parties to create high-quality maternal and infant health products that truly benefit every child and countless households, contributing to the improvement of maternal and child health.

Zhan Siyan pointed out that Peking University School of Public Health highly values innovative research and the transformation of achievements, and has a unique advantage in the evidence-based evaluation of product effects. Maternal, child, and reproductive health is a key discipline built under the "Double First-Class" initiative and is also an excellent discipline in translational research. The establishment of the joint laboratory with Thyseed Company is a mutual choice to complement each other's strengths and better practice social responsibility.

Wang Hao stated that, as social economic development progresses and public health awareness increases, the maternal and infant feeding supplies industry is facing new transformations, with consumers paying more attention to product safety, health, and intelligence. The joint laboratory will commit to promoting innovation in product quality as well as high-quality development in the maternal and infant feeding industry, contributing more to the industry's growth.

Ming Zhe mentioned that university-enterprise cooperation not only helps enhance the quality and technological content of Thyseed products but also strengthens the company's sense of social responsibility. Through in-depth cooperation with Peking University Health Science Center, Thyseed will continuously optimize product quality.

Li Hong-tian introduced the targets and goals of the joint laboratory, noting that the laboratory will rely on Peking University Medicine's top clinical healthcare expert resources to build an innovative model deeply integrating industry, academia, research, and application. In the future, the laboratory will focus on full-chain, high-level translational research activities such as survey on the needs of maternal and infant products, special maternal and infant product development, product performance evaluation, and real-world monitoring studies, establishing an evidence-based research and development platform for maternal and infant products.

Xiao Yuan and Wang Hao, representing Peking University Health Science Center and Thyseed Company respectively, signed the joint laboratory agreement, and representatives from both sides jointly unveiled the nameplate.

After the signing ceremony, representatives from Thyseed Company visited Peking University Institute of Reproductive and Child Health and the National Health Commission Key Laboratory of Reproductive Health.
