It aims to use epidemiological methods, based on a life-course health perspective, to study major reproductive health issues during two critical early life stages: the perinatal period and infancy. This includes research on disease distribution patterns, causes and risk factors, screening and diagnosis predictions, and population intervention measures. Specific topics include: Monitoring birth populations and fertility patterns and studying factors influencing reproduction; Birth defects, preterm birth, low birth weight, and other adverse pregnancy outcomes and infant health outcomes; Infertility, pregnancy complications, health risk factors, and the utilization of clinical healthcare services; Reproductive health equity.
